I am Becky, I work from my studio in the deepest depths of rural Shropshire. I divide my time mostly between glass and printmaking. I working from my own drawings of things I see that capture my interest so there's a lot of British countryside inspiration with the odd out of the field bits and bobs particularly when Ive recently been away on holiday !

My name is Becky Haywood, I love the wild places and our wonderful native flora and fauna and Im very lucky to live with my lovely husband and our beloved cat in the delightful English countryside in rural Shropshire.
​
I am a glass geek, I melt glass into a beautiful hot "blob" (technical term) and then cajole, coax and occasionally bully it into doing what I want in a technique called Flameworking, and I work with kiln formed glass, which I use in combination with copper. I completed a glass degree back in 2009 and have been experimenting and working with glass ever since.

​I am also thoroughly overexcited by all things print, i took a 6 week intro course at the local college and got completely hooked and have been excitedly experimenting with so many possibilities ever since
​
I am always full of ideas for things and love to be working with my hands making. I like to try out new ideas and techniques so amongst the pieces I have available you may notice the odd "where did that come from" piece slip in.
